“ Best BBQ place I’ve ever been too! Definitely worth the drive from Springfield MO! The owner is very nice and welcoming! They serve the best bbq with great service! 10/10 would recommend to anyone! ”
“ Well I’m not sure which BBQ is my favorite now. I will not mention the other establishment here. This review is just for Hog Tide. First off, this restaurant was spotless from the moment we walked through the door. My wife and I were greeted even before we got to the door. There was a waitress bussing an outside table and even though she had her hands full she welcomed us and opened the door for us. I was impressed and we returned the action by holding the door for her to get through with her full hands. The rest of the staff was friendly and informative. The before mentioned waitress took our order. We then found a table. There were a few televisions and of course they had the Cardinals game on. I don’t think we waited 10 minutes for our food to come out. It might have been a little longer but with everything to look at the time went fast. Another waitress brought us our food. She was very nice as well and attentive. The food was great. I had a 2 meat platter with smoked chicken and Texas sausage. Both were wonderful but the best was the baked potato salad and cornbread. My wife had burnt ends platter. She also had the potato salad but she got fried okra as well. Everything on her plate was delicious. Thank you Hog Tide BBQ for a wonderful dinner all around. ”
“ My family comes down to the Ozarks once a year. We used to be loyal to Hog-Wild. But after they closed we found the holy grail. You ever have barbecue so good you don’t need sauce for? This is the place. But their bbq sauce is so good you can’t not put it on your food. Staff is friendly and services quick. I rate this place 10/10. The many trophies against the walls speak for themselves. Definitely worth a trip weather you’re passing through Aurora, or if your going out of your way. To top it off, there was a lot of space in the lot to park with a trailer. ”
“ Incredible experience! I would have paid double it was so good! The burnt ends, and ribs were my favorite and the baked potato salad was fantastic too! ”
“ Pretty good food. Had the brisket sandwich and the wife had catfish. Both were pretty good. ”
“ When you step into the Aurora location, you are greeted by a friendly staff and a cozy dining with walls that are lined with accolades. Warranted as you will soon find out after ordering. There is not a single seat in the house where a trophy is not easily visible. When you dine in the King’s throne room, you won’t soon forget his victories nor his legacy. Hog Tied is the only local place that I trust giving my money to for a rack of ribs. Every visit I have FULL confidence that I will be almost moved to tears. Make the pilgrimage out to Aurora with the knowledge that it will not be your last. ”
“ Awesome burnt ends! I spend half my time in KC and half in Pierce City, and I hadn't had burnt ends this good in quite some time and I eat a lot of KC BBQ. Very happy to have found this place, looks like I won't be grocery shopping when I'm at my farm anymore lol. Dad had the brisket and still talks about it. Workers all on point and the atmosphere is very nice! ”
“ Great BBQ. I am a KC BBQ snob so I don't say that lightly. I have the brisket and pulled pork and both were outstanding. They also have a great choice of sides, including the very rare onion straws. The beans were also very good. A better beer selection would make this place perfect. The decor is classic BBQ rustic on the upscale end of that spectrum. ”
